Slice, Dice & Rice

Play as one of 8 characters, all with their own stories and unique fighting styles.

Slice, Dice & Rice is a fighting game developed by Dojo Games and published by Playway S.A. Inspired by Bushido Blade, it revolves around the idea of finding an opening in opponents defense and ending the round with a single, clean hit. Game’s cast offers many variations of gameplay, from a swift monk using only his fists in battle, to a muscular lady with a giant sword that compensates speed and mobility with endurance during her attacks. You can play as one of 8 characters, all with their own stories and unique fighting styles. Gone are the tedious hit points – each scratch impairs your movement, every wound might be your last.

Slice, Dice & Rice Review

8.5 Total Score
Good

Slice, Dice & Rice is a stunningly entertaining little fighting game. Finally a fighting game that gets rid of health bars and follows in the footsteps of Bushido Blade. Extremely tense rounds full of impressively fluid animation and satisfyingly weighty impacts. The movement in the game is smooth but sometimes when you attack it doesn't happen then there is only a few attacks you can perform. The Campaign mode locks the character selection and you play through starting with the first character to unlock the others. It's quite a fun game to play. However once you beat it with every character their isn't much to do. Without multiplayer it might be a good idea to wait until its added.
